The Koa on the Wall

The 724ce was on the wall, all koa, top to bottom. Grand Auditorium body, Venetian cutaway, grain that shifts depending on where you're standing. Hard to walk past.

I played it for twenty minutes. Warm, full, a little bright up top without tipping into thin. The V-Class bracing gives it a sustain you feel more than hear. Hard to put down. I put it down. Picked it back up.

It's one of the most beautiful guitars I own.

Drove home with it in the back seat.
