Gibson Les Paul Classic

The One I Always Wanted

It finally happened. After a long time away from playing, longer than I care to admit, I pulled the trigger on the guitar I always wanted. A Gibson Les Paul Classic in Smokehouse Burst.

I've thought about getting back into playing for a while now. Classic rock, some folk, just stuff I love. And I knew if I was going to do it right I wasn't going to settle. So here we are.

First thing I noticed was the finish. The figured maple top looks incredible in person, way better than the photos. Then I picked it up and the neck just fit. Comfortable, slim, smooth rosewood board with frets that feel dialed in perfectly. No fighting it, no adjusting, just playing.

I have played it through my Fender amp and it's just amazing. Those 60s Burstbucker pickups have coil splitting and polarity switching so there's a lot to explore tone wise. Should be perfect for what I want to play.

It's been a long road back to this. Feels good to be holding a guitar again, especially this one.
