My Banjo

A few years back I went to an Avett Brothers concert and something about watching them play just hit different. The banjo had this rich sound to it that I couldn't get out of my head. I thought to myself, I could learn that.
So I got one. A Deering Sierra Maple 5-String in Brown Mahogany and it is a beautiful instrument. The sound it puts out is rich and full, way more than I expected honestly. I have picked up a few things here and there and I am still learning but I am glad I made the jump.
If you are thinking about getting into the banjo I would say just do it. Find something that inspires you and go from there. For me it was the Avett Brothers and I have not looked back since.
